If you itemize on your tax return, you may deduct gifts of cash to Sacred Heart Southern Missions to offset as much as 100% of your income.

If you don't itemize your deductions, you can still reduce your taxable income by up to $300 (or $600 for married couples filing jointly) for contributions of cash to support our work.

• Please note that the above incentives are temporary and are scheduled to expire at the end of 2021.

By the way, qualified charitable distributions from your IRA are still a great way to make contributions if you are 70 1/2 or older. Please note that the 2020 CARES Act suspension of the required minimum distribution from most retirement plans does not appear to have been extended into 2021.
