Year End Gifts

As 2023 draws to a close it provides a great opportunity to show your support for the poor whom we serve. There are several ways you can make a special year-end gift to Sacred Heart Southern Missions and reap some rewards yourself. We invite you to prayerfully consider these options.

IRA

IRA Gift
Here is a tax-smart way to make an impact to Sacred Heart Southern Missions using your traditional or Roth IRA. The IRA charitable rollover (also called the Qualified Charitable Distribution, or QCD) is a great way to make a tax-free gift to Sacred Heart Southern Missions and satisfy your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). If you are not required to take an RMD but no longer itemize your deductions, then a QCD may be right for you as well.

DAF

Donor Advised Fund (DAF) Gift
Donor Advised Funds have grown in popularity as they have become one of the easiest and tax-advantageous ways to give to charity. Simply designate Sacred Heart Southern Missions as your next grant recipient!

Charitable Gift Annuity

Charitable Gift Annuity
A charitable gift annuity with Sacred Heart Southern Missions is really two gifts in one: you can support our mission programs while also creating a lifetime income for yourself. The payout rate is very generous and is based on your age. Income is partially tax free and an income tax deduction is also available.

Gift of Cash

Gift of Cash
We welcome and are very grateful for traditional gifts such as cash, credit card or checks. It’s still one of the best ways to effectively have your gift put to use immediately!

Gift of Stock

Gift of Stock
Please consider a gift of stock that has appreciated and that you've held for at least a year. Your gift will be the current value of the stock, not just what you paid for it. No capital gain tax will be owed, as long as you transfer the stock directly to us. The cash you would have used for your gift is then freed for other purposes.

If you have questions about making a gift, we can help guide you through the process; just contact my associate Steve Koepke at 888.217.4829 or email him at skoepke@shsm.org.You may also Click this link to request more information.
